Fareham College, the Times Educational Supplement (TES) FE College of the Year, welcomed education leaders from Iraq as part of a programme by the British Council to develop effective leadership through sharing good practice.  

Spending a week at Fareham College, the delegates met with teaching staff and senior managers, and were able to view the industry-ready facilities and experience the teaching that have earnt it the status of top further education college in the country and an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted judgement.

The UK’s College of the Year, Fareham College last night hosted a glitzy evening to showcase some of the amazing work of its creative students, kicking off with a runway-style show for fashion, hair, beauty and make-up. 

 

The UK’s College of the Year, Fareham College is one of 52 colleges nationally, and one of only nine in the South East, chosen by the Department for Education to pilot T-levels: a new technical qualification intended as a vocational alternative to A-levels.

 

The Minister for Apprenticeships and Skills, the Rt. Hon. Anne Milton MP, visited Fareham College today to learn about the £2.8m Local Growth Fund investment from the Solent LEP into the college’s £4.1m Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC).
