Here are our top picks for some great ways to spend Easter with your family

Paint eggs

Armed with some paints, a box of eggs, and newspaper spread over your kitchen table, you’ll be able to entertain your kids for hours by decorating eggs. Take a look on Pinterest for some fun decoration ideas for a variety of skill levels and ages.

Easter egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt is always a hit with younger children, and the older ones often enjoy helping them out with the harder clues. It can be great fun coming up with your own clues and hiding the eggs around your house, or you could make a day of it and treat your little ones to a fun day out to an organised egg hunt. Wyevale Garden Centres are running a ‘Breakfast or tea with the Easter Bunny’ event this year which also includes an egg hunt and a cookie decorating competition. Book your tickets for your nearest Wyevale Garden Centre online here

Enjoy the outdoors

With Spring finally sprung, the Easter weekend is a perfect opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the warmer weather with your kids. Get into nature and away from the hustle and bustle with a bike ride or hike around your nearest National Trust property, which you can locate on the National Trust website. Alternatively, enjoy a whole weekend of outdoor activities at your nearest Centre Parcs, which you can book on their website — this will be a great place to visit with relatives who have children of their own, as there are endless activities to keep all of the kids entertained.

Go to the cinema

If the Great British weather puts a stop to your plans of enjoying the great outdoors over Easterkeep the kids entertained with a trip to the cinema. Kung Fu Panda and Zootopia arethis year’s big Easter family films — find your nearest cinema on Yell and book your tickets in advance to make sure you don’t miss out, as many other families will have the same idea if it rains over the bank holiday.

These activities will be a great way to enjoy the Easter weekend with your kids, so make time for at least one of them for a memorable holiday.
