Headteacher Magazine, guide to services and products for UK Schools
Secretary of State Damian Hinds has announced the DfE's initial response to the report ‘Strengthening Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Improving Teacher Career Progression’, at Friday's National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) annual conference. Changes include extending the induction period from one to two years, while he blasted Mocksteds and triple marking as "costly distractions".
Following on from Damian Hind's announcement to cut teacher workload in an attempt to resolve a recruitment crisis in England's schools, CEO and Founder of Satchel (previously Show my Homework), Naimish Gohil discusses how the UK's ed-tech sector can help achieve these goals.
Emma Hollis, Executive Director of the National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers, welcomes the appointment of Damian Hinds as new Education Secretary and has some thoughts on how he should proceed.
