The Actives selected for SportTechHub programme
The Actives has been selected to join London’s leading SportTech, FitTech and HealthTech incubator programme, SportTechHub.
The incubator, which is backed by London Sport and supported by PwC, Fieldfisher, London & Partners and Loughborough University London, works to support the development of physical activity and sport, and will see The Actives work closely with London Sport and a range of physical activity stakeholders as part of broader efforts to align technology and physical activity strategies across the country.
The programme officially launches in September 2018 and culminates with a Demo Day in March 2019, which will see The Actives pitch to investors and technology leaders from across London and the UK.
The Actives Challenge is a new and innovative children’s health and wellbeing digital app that educates, supports and rewards parents, teachers and activity providers to promote a holistic wellbeing message to children. Schools across the UK can sign up to use the app from September 2018 at www.theactiveschallenge.co.uk

Technology is playing an increasingly prominent role in the future of physical activity and sport, and The Actives offers an exciting vision of the potential for new innovation around the impact of physical activity on the lives of Londoners, and people across the nation.”
Joel James, The Actives, said:
“We joined the programme as we saw it as another key stepping stone to achieving our goal of becoming the world’s number 1 children's health and wellbeing brand. We believe the programme will give us a fantastic and unique opportunity to work with London Sport and other new partners and investors to help us polish our blueprint to scale across the globe, whilst at the same time help London become the most physically active city in the world.”
